One Ocean: Every Action Ripples

One Ocean: Every Action Ripples is a world-first immersive exhibition at Science Centre Singapore, running from 30 May 2026 to 3 January 2027. This global premiere transforms over two decades of ocean research into a multi-sensory experience across ten zones, designed to bring the wonders of the ocean to life through cutting-edge technology and interactive storytelling.

The exhibition features a replica of the Tara Polar Station, a drifting Arctic research laboratory, where visitors can discover how scientists conduct climate monitoring and marine ecosystem studies in extreme environments. A central highlight is a breathtaking 360-degree projection that immerses guests in the '7 Wonders of the Ocean,' journeying through environments like the abyss, whale migrations, and the Great Barrier Reef, while showcasing marine life from nudibranchs to bioluminescent creatures.

Beyond visuals, the experience engages multiple senses. 'Symphonies of the Ocean' presents authentic sounds recorded above and beneath the waves, illustrating how marine environments communicate. 'Legends of the Ocean' explores how the sea has shaped human imagination across cultures, from mythical creatures to enduring stories.

An optional add-on, the 'Secrets of the Blue' VR experience, requires an additional ticket and takes visitors into vital marine ecosystems like mangroves, seagrass meadows, and kelp forests, highlighting their role in regulating Earth's climate. The exhibition serves as a powerful reminder of human impact on the ocean, blending education with immersive technology.
