Lost Islands

Lost Islands is a collaborative arts installation by The Artground and Indonesian artist Rachmi Dewi Pertama, running from April 2025 through December 2026. The experience invites families to embark on a magical adventure exploring the islands of Singapore and Indonesia through legendary tales, myths, and folklore. Young explorers can engage with interactive elements such as climbing atop a sleeping turtle or walking along a sensory path on the back of a mythical sea dragon.

The installation is housed within The Artground's Visual Arts Space, where children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. Tickets are sold as timed slots, with weekday pricing at $8 per person (including infants) and weekend, public holiday, and school holiday pricing at $12 per child and $10 per adult. Note that the space is closed to the public during weekday morning school excursions, selected public holidays, and private birthday bookings.

Artist Rachmi Dewi Pertama, a designer and founder of UlangAlik puppet theatre, brings a personal and inclusive creative approach, often involving her family in puppetry performances. The installation aims to create an immersive environment where stories and islands come alive, offering a blend of sensory play and artistic exploration suitable for family audiences.
