Power, Up Close Showcase
From 16 to 22 March 2026, the Energy Market Authority (EMA) presents Power, Up Close at Funan Mall. This free, interactive public activation aims to bring Singapore's energy story to life for families, illustrating what it takes to keep the nation powered daily.
The showcase is designed to simplify complex topics through hands-on, immersive experiences suitable for both children and parents. Key activities include the Power Cycling Challenge, where participants pedal a bike to light up a battery bar, giving a tangible sense of the physical effort behind electricity generation.
Interactive Panels & Quizzes offer easy-to-follow displays and bite-sized questions that explain how Singapore balances sustainability, energy security, and affordability. The Power Diorama allows visitors to place interactive blocks onto an LED display, revealing visual insights into Singapore's four energy sources and how they collaborate to power the island.
Each visitor receives an event 'passport' to guide them through the activities. Participants who complete the passport stand a chance to win vouchers from retailers such as Challenger, FairPrice, and Ya Kun.
