Imagine Our Songs: Mandarin Nursery Rhymes Reimagined for Kids
Imagine Our Songs is a unique theatre production by The Theatre Practice, part of The Nursery Rhymes Project. The show breathes new life into well-known Mandarin nursery rhymes, including classics like Xiao Bai Chuan and Mothers Are Best, through an innovative combination of storytelling, live music, and physical movement. This interactive theatrical experience is crafted specifically for young children, encouraging them to participate and engage with the performance.
The production focuses on making Mandarin language learning enjoyable and relevant. By reimagining familiar tunes with new contexts and interactive elements, it helps children build a connection with the language in a natural and playful setting. The event will be held at the SCCC Multi-Purpose Hall on Level 7, a venue well-suited for family-friendly performances. It takes place on 20 and 21 June 2026, with two sessions daily at 10am and 2pm. Tickets are priced from $35, making it an affordable cultural outing for families.
