WonderBot and the Time Travel Capsule
WonderBot and the Time Travel Capsule is a family-friendly storytelling and activity programme that invites children and their parents to journey through Singapore’s past and present. The event features author Quek Hong Shin leading a fun storytelling session based on Children’s Museum Singapore’s first children’s book, where participants follow WonderBot and Chloe as they explore historical scenes like the Singapore River and Satay Club. After the story, families engage in a creative hands-on activity, designing their own personalised time capsules through writing and drawing to capture memories.
The programme runs on three dates in March 2026: March 14 at Children’s Museum Singapore, March 15 at Geylang Serai Heritage Gallery, and March 21 at Kreta Ayer Heritage Gallery. Each session lasts one hour, with specific timings varying by date and venue. Although the activity is complimentary, a $5 refundable deposit per participant is required at registration to secure a spot; this deposit is returned upon attendance. Tickets are needed for each person, including both children and accompanying adults, and late arrivals may result in slots being released to others.
Recommended for children aged 4 to 10, the event is inclusive and designed for the whole family, blending narrative engagement with a creative, reflective craft. It offers a structured yet interactive way to connect with local heritage and storytelling.
