SHIPPED! Vessels of Taste Exhibition

ArCH Square celebrates its first anniversary with a new exhibition, SHIPPED! Vessels of Taste, running from 31 October 2026 to 31 March 2027.

The showcase features artefacts recovered from three shipwrecks: the 14th-century Temasek Wreck, the Shah Muncher (sunk in 1796), and the RMS Empress of Asia (sunk in 1942).

Visitors can view ceramics, bottles, jars, bowls, and ornaments that reveal historical trade, technology, and consumption patterns.

A special section curated by the Museum of Food, titled Anyone Can Cook, displays metal tins, a Stanley flask, and other kitchen relics that explore how food heritage is passed down through families.

A digital Stratigraphy Kiosk allows guests to explore how everyday objects are understood in their archaeological contexts. The exhibition is free to enter.

ArCH Square is located at 125 Jalan Sultan, Kampong Gelam, and is open Wednesdays to Fridays from 11 am to 7 pm, and weekends from 10 am to 6 pm.
