Istana Open House

The Istana Open House on Sunday, 19 April 2026, welcomes the public to visit the presidential grounds. This event, held up to five times a year, features live performances and family-friendly activities. Please note that the Istana Main Building is currently closed for restoration until further notice.

Admission to the grounds is free for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents. Standard admission fees apply for other visitors: $20 for adults and $10 for children aged 4 to 12. Children below 4 enter free. An additional fee applies for entry into the Istana Villa: $2 for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents (adults and children 4-12), and $10 for adults and $5 for children (4-12) for other visitors. All fees are non-refundable and support the President’s Challenge beneficiaries. Only cashless payments via Credit/Debit Card and QR Code are accepted.

Entry is via the Main Gate at Orchard Road only, with the nearest MRT station being Dhoby Ghaut. Security checks are in place, and prohibited items include pointed/sharp objects, flammable items, tripods, and canned items. No storage facilities are available. The event may be restricted or suspended due to inclement weather, lightning risk, or other unforeseen circumstances. Visitors are encouraged to maintain good hygiene, keep the grounds litter-free, and note that smoking, wheeled sports, and pets (except certified guide dogs) are not allowed.
