Light Together Bras Basah.Bugis 2026

Celebrate National Day with a brand-new night-time experience in Singapore’s arts and heritage district. From 1 August to 5 September 2026, Light Together Bras Basah.Bugis transforms historic buildings and hidden spaces into glowing, interactive zones.

Organised by HeritageSg and held alongside the Singapore Night Festival, the event invites families to explore local folklore brought to life across five locations: Artspace @ Waterloo Centre, the Reflection Pool @ Bras Basah MRT Station, Stamford Place, Stamford Walkway and the National Museum of Singapore.

Kids and adults alike can see light installations and digital art inspired by Singaporean stories and kampong traditions, such as artist Arup’s playful piece referencing the old superstition of planting chilli to keep rain away.

This free, open-air festival is suitable for all ages and offers a gentle, imaginative way to learn about local culture. No tickets or registration details have been released yet, so check back for more information as the event draws nearer.
