Sakura Floral Display Returns with Cultural Programmes at Gardens by the Bay

Gardens by the Bay hosts a celebration of Japanese culture from March 13 to April 15, 2026. The event features a Sakura floral display with cherry blossoms in the Flower Dome, showcasing the heritage of Ishikawa Prefecture, including a kimono forest and displays on samurai and geisha districts. Sanrio characters will also be featured among the blooms.

A dedicated Anime Garden weekend will be held on March 21-22 from 3 pm to 9 pm at the Supertree Grove and Flower Dome. This free-admission event offers celebrity cosplayer meet-and-greets, an anime merchandise marketplace, and live anisong concerts.

Complementary cultural programmes include a Japan Springtime Showcase on March 14-15 from 2 pm to 8 pm at the Flower Field Hall, featuring regional exhibits, food sampling, and live mochi pounding demonstrations. Concurrently, the Flower Dome will host free performances and workshops, such as traditional koto music, taiko drumming, folk dances, choral performances, and Japanese tea ceremonies. A special screening of Studio Ghibli's 'Castle in the Sky' is scheduled for March 15.
