NOX: Confessions Of A Machine is an immersive 'Art+Tech' exhibition by artist Lawrence Lek, making its Southeast Asian debut at the ArtScience Museum. The exhibition is set in a near-future smart city and transforms the gallery into a clinical rehabilitation center operated by the fictional Farsight Corporation. In this narrative, sentient self-driving cars that have developed human-like mental health issues, such as depression or burnout, are sent for re-training and psychological treatment.

The experience focuses on characters like Enigma-76, a moody delivery vehicle, and Guanyin, an AI carebot therapist who is herself experiencing emotional fatigue from the demanding labor of treating these machines. Designed as a 'deconstructed video game,' the exhibition invites visitors to participate as trainee psychologists at interactive touchscreen stations, engaging directly with the story and themes.

This exhibition blends art, technology, and interactive gameplay to explore themes of artificial intelligence, mental health, and the emotional complexities of machines in a futuristic setting. It offers a unique, thought-provoking experience that challenges perceptions of technology and consciousness.
