CHAGEE Garden of Senses: A Tea Reverie

Garden of Senses: A Tea Reverie is a multi-sensory exhibition at the Asian Civilisations Museum, running from 28 January to 7 June 2026. It explores tea as a deeply human ritual shaped by centuries of craftsmanship and stories, while highlighting its evolution through modern creativity. The showcase invites visitors to re-experience tea beyond taste and smell, engaging sight, touch, hearing, and thought to reconnect with what defines us as human beings.

The exhibition is a collaboration between the museum, international tea brand CHAGEE, and the Singapore Tourism Board. It presents a progressive journey that brings together historic collections, contemporary interpretations, and new artistic commissions from local creatives. Installations include works by Ashley Yeo, who explores slowness and contemplation through floating paper forms representing tea leaves, and Alecia Neo with composer Clarence Chung, who create a symphonic experience of tea through sound, rhythm, and human connection.

The exhibition juxtaposes historic tea wares with contemporary CHAGEE cups and features nature-inspired communal spaces for reflection. It is complemented by a CHAGEE pop-up offering beverages and merchandise, including limited-edition plush charms that blend tea heritage with Singapore's cultural identity. Admission is via the museum's All Access ticket, priced at S$25 for tourists and S$12 for Singaporeans and PRs, granting access to all exhibitions on the day of visit.
