CATS The Musical

Andrew Lloyd Webber's record-breaking musical CATS returns to Singapore for a strictly limited season at Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands. Based on T.S. Eliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, the production transports audiences to a fantastical junkyard playground where the Jellicle Cats gather for their annual Jellicle Ball. Through dazzling sets, imaginative costumes, and high-energy choreography, feline characters like Rum Tum Tugger, Mr. Mistoffelees, and Grizabella share their stories under the guidance of Old Deuteronomy, who must select one cat to ascend to The Heaviside Layer.

Since its 1981 world premiere in London, CATS has become one of the longest-running productions in West End and Broadway history, staged in over 30 countries and seen by more than 73 million people worldwide. The musical has earned numerous accolades, including Olivier and Evening Standard Awards for Best Musical, seven Tony Awards, and Grammy Awards for its cast recordings. Its iconic score features the celebrated song Memory, recorded by over 150 artists.

This revival, presented by GWB Entertainment in association with LW Entertainment and Base Entertainment Asia, continues Singapore's established appreciation for the production following successful runs in 2015 and 2019. Blending whimsical storytelling, memorable music, and impressive stagecraft, CATS offers a song-and-dance spectacle suitable for all ages, whether audiences are revisiting a classic or experiencing it for the first time.
