Community-Led Storytelling Session at Hangout Laundry
This March holidays, Hangout Laundry transforms a neighbourhood laundromat into a family-friendly storytelling venue. The event, led by dramatic arts practitioner and educator Seraphina Underhill, aims to foster a love for stories and reading among children. The session is designed to turn a routine errand into an engaging community activity.
Children are encouraged to bring a pre-loved book to swap, allowing them to take home a new story to enjoy. Families can bring their laundry along while the children participate in the storytelling. The event is specifically tailored for children aged 6 to 11 years old.
The session provides a unique, casual setting for literary engagement within a familiar local space. It combines practical family errands with creative learning, offering a convenient and free holiday activity for the community.
